About Us

1888602_580400822042116_1521861480_nAghalee Taekwondo Club was formed in May 2012.  We are affiliated with UTA (United Taekwondo Association), and British Taekwondo.

We run our classes in Aghalee Village hall, and we have classes every Monday evening from 6.15 – 7.45pm and every Thursday evening from 6.30 – 8pm.

We compete at competitions in Northern Ireland (e.g. Northern Ireland Poomsae Championships / Northern Ireland Inter-Club Poomsae Championships), and we also compete in various other competitions in the Republic of Ireland (e.g. Irish Nationals in Kyorugi), and in England (e.g. British Nationals in Poomsae and Kyorugi).

There is always a lot going on in Aghalee Taekwondo Club! We are always preparing for something, whether it be gradings, competitions, or other community events.  We pride ourselves in running a professional club, and hope that you will enjoy being part of the club should you choose to join.

My child loves Taekwondo because it is fun. He enjoys the physical exertion, especially kicking pads and he has made loads of friends. He also enjoys the many social events organised by the club and taking part in the many local and national competitions has given him great confidence. The club is really well run and focuses on teaching the sport in a professional but fun way for everyone.
